How do I register?

III. The first two forms and a payment are required to establish your postmark date for our non-tryout programs (see next FAQ).

 IV. Come to Commitment/Registration Day to finalize paperwork & confirm your spot on a team.

Should I wait until Registration Day to register or to send in payment for the non-tryout CLUB PROGRAM teams?

Most of our non-tryout teams fill up early, so you shouldn't wait until Registration Day to register.  See "Am I guaranteed a spot?"  New this year: all players interested in playing on a CLUB team MUST attend the "Team Formation Night" for their age group.  Registration Day for Northlake Volleyball is being held on the region's Team Commitment Day this year, Wednesday 11/14/07, instead of the Sunday event that we have had in the past. To pre-register for one of our CLUB teams, you must submit at least
(1) your Player Info Form
(2) your Membership Agreement and
(3) a check to 'Northlake Volleyball' for $600 which we will hold until Registration Day.

When is the money due? For team membership, the first payment is due by our Registration Day, November 14, 2007. The second & final payment is due by January 15th. For team members, an "Early Bird Discount" of $50 is given for full payment by Registration Day. For Instructional & Training memberships, the full payment is due upon registration.  See our Dues page for full details.

What if I only want to tryout for a SELECT team? I'm not interested in the non-tryout teams. Do I need to turn in any advance paperwork?

No advance paperwork is needed. All you need to do is bring your $20 non-refundable tryout fee & your tryout form, signed by your parent or guardian, to the first night of tryouts for your age group.

How will I know if I'm on a waitlist?

The SELECT PROGRAM is tryout-based and does not have a waitlist. If we end up with an unfilled spot on one of our SELECT teams, we reserve the right to offer the spot to a qualified player either within our own CLUB PROGRAM or to a player has not yet joined another juniors club.

If CLUB PROGRAM teams fill up in October, we will post that information prominently on the web site. If teams fill up at the last minute, we will be able to tell you your status by Registration Day. Players who do not get a spot on a CLUB PROGRAM team will be moved to a waitlist &/or to small group training in our Volleyball School.

If we have enough extra players in a given age group & if we have a coach, we will form another CLUB team. If we have multiple girls who all play the same position & have a late postmark date, we will evaluate those players during Team Formation Night.

What if I tryout for a SELECT team & don't make it (or if a SELECT team for my age group is not formed)? Will I still have a spot on a non-tryout team?

1. If you don't make a SELECT team, you will be put on the waiting list for a non-tryout CLUB PROGRAM team spot unless you have already sent in payment & forms for the CLUB program prior to trying out for SELECT. There are no waiting lists for SELECT teams.

2. To reserve a spot on one of our non-tryout CLUB teams even though you are trying out for a SELECT team, you should

   1. Indicate both 'CLUB team' and 'SELECT team tryout' on your Player Info Form.

   2. Send in paperwork & a first payment for the CLUB Program as soon as possible since the CLUB Program begins registration October 1st. This amount will be credited to your balance, whether you end up being on a CLUB or SELECT team.

   3. Not wait until Registration Day to reserve a spot on CLUB team as they are first-come, first-served based on position. See also the above FAQ, "Should I wait until Registration Day?".

Am I guaranteed a spot on a CLUB team?

We also reserve the right to move players 13 & older who are beginners or whose skill levels need further development  to our Instructional program or to private or semi-private lessons in our Volleyball School, regardless of their postmark date for registration.

Team practices begin for the SELECT & CLUB programs the week of November 26th.
The INSTRUCTIONAL & the FORSYTH Programs will begin in January.
